And you can book all of it with us, before you arrive or from the rooftop the night before.
We work directly with the island’s operators — the same people we would send our own family out with. You tell us what you want to do, we book it, and it appears on your account. No queuing on the pier, no wondering who is reliable.
On the water
Season: roughly June to September
The largest fish in the sea, and Holbox is one of the few places on earth you can swim beside them. We book only with operators licensed by CONANP, which caps the number of boats and swimmers at a time — it is why the experience is still worth having.
Season: strongest roughly May to September
On the right nights, the water lights up where you move through it. It is a short walk or a ride to the darkest stretch of beach, away from the town lights.
The classic day on the water: Isla Pájaros for the birds, Isla Pasión for the sandbar, and the Yalahau freshwater spring on the lagoon side.
A boat out for the hour Holbox is famous for. Catamaran or lancha, shared or just your group.
Where the Caribbean meets the Gulf, with reef and clear water an hour or so out.
Fly fishing in the flats for bonefish and tarpon, or deeper water for whatever is running. Half or full day, with a guide who knows where to go.
On the island
Shallow, flat water and steady wind make Holbox one of the easiest places in Mexico to learn. Lessons from first day to independent, or just a board and kite if you already fly.
Through the mangrove channels on the lagoon side, early, when the water is glass and the birds are still out.
The island is sand streets and short distances. A bike covers it; a golf cart covers it with the shopping.
Someone who knows where the light lands and when the sandbar appears — for a couple, a family, or a whole group.
A therapist comes to your accommodation. After a day on a boat it is the correct decision.
Free, and worth your time
Not everything here is a tour. Some of the best hours on the island cost nothing.

Prices depend on the operator, the season and the size of your group, so we do not publish fixed rates — we quote yours before you commit to anything. Tours run subject to weather and to the operator’s own safety calls.
Guests get their tours arranged as part of the stay, at no extra charge for the booking itself.
